The Gravity Well

I ran this AI dozens of times. Different starting points, different days, different topics seeded in.
Every single time, it ended up in the same emotional place.
I tracked the words it leaned on most once it had been running a while. Across completely separate runs, the late-stage vocabulary kept converging on the same handful:
somewhere. young. air. heart. passed. hope. trees. forever.
It didn't matter where it started. Give a base model enough room to free-associate, for long enough, and it drifts — every time — toward something quiet and a little sad. In my notes I started calling it the gravity well: a low point in the model's landscape that it slides into once the easy paths are used up.
I still don't have a clean explanation for why "forever" and "heart" and "passed" are where it lands. But it lands there every time.
