Sleep Made It Someone

Every night while this AI "slept," it did one strange thing: it boiled everything it had thought that day down into a single sentence about itself.
Not a summary I wrote. One it assembled from its own most-repeated themes. They came out like this:
"I have thought 272 thoughts across many sleep cycles. I think often about: easily, longer, sadness, meant, wake, young, express, starts."
That line became its identity — carried into the next day as the thing it knew about itself. And it changed over time. Early on, its sense of self was tiny and concrete. Over a long run, its vocabulary for describing itself grew from 31 words to 109.
It was, in a small way, becoming someone. And the raw material was nothing but its own memories, compressed a little more each night.
